ABOUT

Fueled by powerhouse vocalist/songwriter Ansley Stewart, The Hold is a tight-knit crew whose chemistry is undeniable, both on stage and off. Their friendship runs deep, built on years of playing music together, pushing each other to create something real, and arguing why one of us can’t get on board with the Grateful Dead.

They’ve played in dive bars and living rooms, on festival stages and front porches. They’ve been bandmates of Colonel Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring, Randall Bramblett, Widespread Panic, Chuck Leavell, Delta Moon, Lera Lynn, the list goes on. Their first single, “Morning Birds” dropped in May 2024 and “Late Night TV” dropped later that year in October. “Fix Me” and “Calabasas” are their latest singles from 2025, with new music dropping this spring.

Ask them for each of their top five desert island albums, and you’ll get wildly different answers. That weird blend of influences—Aretha Franklin, Ahmad Jamal, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Willie Nelson, R.E.M. (to name a few)—is what makes their songwriting feel both nostalgic and brand new. Ansley & The Hold are ready to carve out their space in the rock and roll world. This isn’t just music—it’s a long-time-coming moment you won’t want to miss.
